Fundraising ideas

Simple fundraising ideas that can make a difference

There are many different ways to raise money for CHYP from asking for sponsorship to organizing your own event. The trick is to choose something you enjoy and will have fun doing.

Try a virtual event

From treasure hunts and murder mysteries to race nights, it doesn’t always have to be a quiz. They are now so easy to organise and a great way to spend time with friends and family online. Share what your good at – why not do a cooking lesson or demonstration on line.

Let them eat cake

A cake sale is a great simple way to raise money.  You could sell them to your friends, at your school, to your rugby team or netball team your dance group or passers by.  If you bake cakes to sell you will be flavour of the month.

Sports crazy

Whether it’s five-aside football. a run walk or cycle, swim or a static rowing challenge at the gym, individually or in teams, get sporty and raise sponsorship for your efforts. Create your own Just Giving page  or download a sponsorship form.

Arrange a fundraising event

Dress-up or down

Dress up in wacky clothes, dress down in everyday clothes for a fee, or get sponsored to wear your PJs for a day. Wear a hat to work days or just choose a colour for everyone to wear. It’s fun, it’s easy and everyone can get involved.

Sleep out for homelessness

Raise awareness for youth homelessness at the same time as raising money. This is a tough one but so worth while. Contact us for safety advice or download a sponsorship form.
